So here I sit, its 3:42am at present and I'm in the computer science building on campus hopped up on about 7 pints of coffee, sans one working coursework. This is not good. I have a lecture in 5 hours and 15 minutes and I decided it was easier to sit down here and wait out the few hours than go back home and sleep, that's also not very good. I've been conscious for 18 hours and at the very least that figure is looking to total up to at least 36 hours. Theres a pattern forming here...
On a lighter note, DCS can be a really fun place at 1 in the morning :P Not exactly the greatest social scene but certainly beats sitting in front of the computer by yourself or the tv for that matter (what with the line being a little blurred in our house).
Assuming I can stop myself passing out for the next 5 hours I should be good, although its a tad annoying that I have a 9am lecture and a 4pm lecture....lol
So, what have I learned from this? Firstly... drinking this much coffee really isn't a good idea, and secondly I should probably make more of an effort to get courseworks completed earlier.
This has occupied me for all of about 5 minutes, god knows what I'm going to do for the next few hours but expect any online presence things such as this to get a thorough update :D
Well this blog has now become just like the various other blogs I have dotted around the internet, derelict. I tried but failed, ah well...
Might as well do quick update while im knicking the neighbours wireless...which they still havent sussed almost 3 weeks later but then again they plugged in a wireless router without even attempting to configure it so I guess they arent the most tech savvie of people anyway.
Now back at uni, moved into house and lectures are started. Just trying to get back into the swing of things and try and avoid failing this year... Which makes it about beer 'o clock by my reckoning :D Otherwise all is well.
Finally I think NTL are a bunch of rotten cunts and if they put one more roadblock in the way of us getting the internet (hence why im "borrowing" the neighbours wifi) im going to steal a bus full of passengers, pack it full of explosives and drive it into the walls of their offices (which im led to believe are somewhere round here making the plan nice and simple). Urgh...
Just incase anyone actually has been reading this thingy bobby the reason there has been no updates in so long is that I moved into the house in whitnash and cant actually get a damn inet connection here :-( Been without a constant internet connection for almost two weeks now, it really is kinda weird. I've got addicted to Noel Edmonds deal or no deal on channel 4. Someone shoot me now.......
Im posting this from an unsecured wireless network that I can pick up from the house, probably one of the neighbours. Im sure they wont mind if I borrow a small amount of bandwitdth, strictly speaking its not breaking the law as the wireless network doesnt have a password on it :D
Felt a little rough this morning thanks to Phils house warming party but I seem to have shook that off now, nothing in comparison to the way I felt on wednesday morning when I travelled here lol, In future the leaving do should be at least 3 days before the day of travel.
Other than moving in to the house, finding out that ASDA smart price is as cheap as tesco value but not as good and a small amount of drinking I have done very little since the last entry. Oh well, I will leave you with a video of phils party, the bloke on the floor is Alex who had probably had one too many :P
Til next time (hopefully should get a more permanent net connection sorted out soon)
Well its been an eventful few days :P After deciding to try and be a hermit for three days (brought to a rather abrupt end when my mum forced me out of the house to carry shopping) I went out last night to Camden (via the goose) and had an...interesting time :D Meanwhile the immortal battle between man and machine rages on.
Hm, not sure if this entry will be any more sensible than this mornings entry but its worth a shot...
One thing I should probably make clear here (although I think most people on here already know) is that I'm now on msn on my mobile quite alot. You can tell well im on the phone cos some silly message comes up at the top of the convo window. If you see this, pls dont send me file transfers, links, add me to 50 person group convos or flood the damn thing, its hard enough to type on msn with only 9 buttons as it is...
Ah well, that out of the way, I've uploaded a userpic from when I was 16 for some strange reason, thought I'd lost the damn thing til I logged into my skype a while back and there it was! Me doing my best to stick my tongue out and failing misreably :D
Totally bored now, searched every internet site 4 times over and nothing left to do. Cant wait until uni starts, I'll be living in damn near poverty and probably snowed under with work but bored is one thing I wont be.
Also run out of things to say so im now looking though my mahoosive picture collection for something silly to upload, woo....archive me, that will do...not sure how old I was:
Wooh, snakes on a plane is a brilliant movie :D Probably the best movie I've seen in a long time :D
Nelville Flynn: Enough is enough! I have had it with these motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking plane!
Nelville Flynn: Great, snakes on crack. (Hes referring to the fact that the snakes are hopped up on pheromones making them more aggressive)
Yeah, so to summarise everyone should go and see snakes on a plane !
Ill probably post something a little more cohesive tonight, just got back from a drunken sleepover...
Ill leave you with this thought (nicked from urban dictionaries definition of snakes on a plane: Chuck Norris admitted today that Snakes on a Plane was the only movie he would ever watch on a plane. Unfortunately Chuck Norris doesn't need planes because he can fly.
Usually bank holidays are a day of rest but instead my day has been spent trying to move washing machines that are heavier than seems physically possible and laying lino flooring down. Eh well, keeps me busy I suppose :)
Today marks the launch of the Core 2 Duo mobile processor which is of course entirely unimporant unless three people have come to you asking for advice about buying laptops. The advice is simple, dont.... Im very tempted to wait until these new machines come out and then sell my current machine on ebay and upgrade, even though theres nothing that these new laptops can offer that mine cant, I just want another shiny new gadget.
Just had fish and chips for the first time in a few years, nice but not as nice as I remember it being, wish George's fish bar (no relation) was still up and running. :D
Looking forward to getting back to warwick and meeting up with everyone again....
Name ten of life's simple pleasures that you like most then pick ten people to do the same. Do this if you want. Try to be original and creative and not to use things that someone else has already used.
Well since Phil has tagged me for this and I've got nothing better to do right now than kill old mobile phones (just bricked that E1000 ... darn it) figured I might as well have a go...
1) Aqquiring and fiddling with any type of electrical gadget. 2) Being up at sunrise, watching the sun set then watching it rise again (preferably more than one day in a row), plays havoc with your body clock but its fun :D 3) Understanding something that previously confused me. 4) Taking photos 5) Disappearing off somewhere, preferably countryside and just taking time to collect thoughts and make peace with the world. 6) Finding something really unimportant from along time ago, like a receipt or something, then remembering something you wouldnt have otherwise ( I recently found the receipt to my college tuition). 7) Music 8) Breaking the rules. 9) Eating 10) Travelling to somewhere new every week (ok, I've had enough of this one for a while lol)
Argh, now back to being bored again. Im toying with the idea of trying to build another computer out of any spare parts I have lying around but I think I've killed the last remaining spare motherboard, I really should stop trying to update the firmware on everything... Ah well, going to need another computer anyway for the house next year and I already have the CPU / memory / GPU, time to hit ebay for a motherboard...
Ill leave you with this, the glorious results of two hours spent working on my Moto E1000. Its now Bricked, Cream crackered, Brown breaded ... you get the idea, suffice to say it might not be making any calls in a while :-)
So I finally got one of these blasted things after much grumbling and disapproval....I promise to try and update roughly once every 3 months or so, anyone whos seen my xanga before will probably get the idea. But since this is my first post I should at least make it count. So what have I been up to?
Well up til last thursday I have been staying over at Phils house, which was a real hoot :D During that time we went to the Vfestival, some pics and videos will be below this paragraph if I can get the hang of how embedding works on this thing :D Anyway, the Vfest was great if a little wet and I had a brilliant time
Before that I took short trips to Amsterdam and Edinburgh....The less said about Amsterdam the better, I will leave you with this:
Edinburgh was sweet, again had a great time and saw loads of shows including The IT Girls, starring Claudia et al which was great! Stayed in a youth hostel with a bar called the swamp, which was a reason to go in itself :D
Last night I went out to a goth pub and had a few drinks lol. Got in at 3am or so and then left the house again at 8.20am to go to Romford. Sleep deprivation is hardcore lol, all the cool kids are doing it nowadays... Free face painting was going at this pub so a few of my mates got that done, I didnt as I dont like anyone messing with my face lol:
Ok, so that brings it all up to date, just the now to cover. Im sitting here being emo filling out my LiveJournal and listening to the Lostprophets - Last Train Home. Probably should be sleeping but I will get round to that later hopefully.
Congratulations if you got this far, If I ever do post on this thing the posts will ussualy be quite long...luckily theres not much risk of that
